Poet Paul Henry reading

Forest Weddings Exhibition

Featuring photographs of couples marrying in the Forest from Victorian times to the present day, along with a spectacular selection of wedding dresses suspended in the air like ghosts floating above the gallery. Many local people have contributed photographs, artefacts, and stories, making this a true community exhibition, representing Foresters past and present. Every visitor to the exhibition will be given the opportunity to enter a competition to win dinner for two at the Forest’s Speech House Hotel.

Bird Cafe

Time: 11.00am – 12.30am and 1.30pm –3.00pm Leader: Sarah Sawyer and RSPB staff Flock down to Brockweir Village Shop and take part in the Big Garden Bird Watch. The Big Garden Birdwatch is an annual event run by the RSPB. The data collected by the public gives a snap shot of how the nations garden birds are doing. Any one can take part, staff will be on hand to help identify birds for youngsters and you can make your own bird feeder to take home. A fun family activity.

Basket weaving course
